It is indeed my pleasure to welcome you to Mungatsi Technical and vocational college and specifically to the Dean of students office.By attending MTVC,you have chosen to join a diverse and immensely passionate community of trainees, members of academic staff, Administrative and support staff.
It is always my desire to share with you relevant information that is helpful in guiding you until you complete your studies within the stipulated period.
Please note that the trainees in the college are unique in the sense that the level of personal responsibility is highly required.I invite you to carefully read the college rules and regulations governing the conduct of trainees at the college.Adherence to these rules will make you stay comfortable while in the college and instill in you the culture of working well with your colleagues and most importantly manage your resources i.e time and finances.
The office of the Dean is primarily concerned with trainees welfare while in the college.it is committed to helping all trainees to reach their full potential by encouraging them to engage in self reflection and think critically in order to foster personal growth.The Dean of students staff members work to meet each trainees unique need in order to support their academic success.
The office works in liason with it’s service departments or Guidance and counselling,Accommodation, Clinical,Clubs and societies, Sports and student council leadership.It also works with security department for students welfare within and outside the college.
The office or the Dean acts as a link between the students and the administration and further provides chaplaincy services through the relevant patrons by coordinating religious activities in the college.
Finally I wish to bring to your attention that our mission is to provide excellent and equitable welfare services to trainees and promote individual growth through constructive engagement and encourage the development of life skills that will help you to succeed well beyond your time in college.I once again welcome you.
